January MMA Prospects of the Month 2022

New year for MMA prospects to rise to the top, Signing with UFC, Bellator or One Championship.

Elijah Johns LFA 121

Miles Johns young brother is definitely better. Coming off a highly technical striking battle for three rounds. Sadly he lost but Miles Johns continues to improve.

Remains fighting for Legacy Fighting Alliance.

Reminds me of Chris Curtis, Phil Hawes, Tyron Woodley. Stocky, Explosive MMA fighters that lead to first round KO’s.

Elijah Johns comes from one of the fastest rising MMA gyms- Fortis MMA Owned by Deron Williams former NBA All-Star and coached by Sayif Saud who trains fighters for the quick finishes.

  • 26 years old
  • Fortis MMA
  • 7-2 record

Charles Johnson vs Carlos Mota LFA 122

Charles Johnson one of the best flyweight prospects in the United States is defending his LFA Flyweight title for the first time against Brazil’s Carlos Mota in his hometown of St. Louis. Can’t let the Pride of St. Louis down by getting a fast KO but I beg to differ…

Johnson vs Mota will be a highly athletic fast pace three round fight in the 125 pound weight class. Appreciating the skills between both fighters.

Charles Johnson is athletic fast flyweight similar to Deiveson Figueiredo. No weaknesses in his game as he can strike, wrestle, solid submission game.

UFC listed Charles Johnson as a Fighter to Watch for 2022.

Trains at Tiger Muay Thai and coached by one of the BEST coaches right now George Hickman. One of the best minds in the sport coaches Valentina Shevchenko, Petr Yan, Rafael Fiziev, Movar Evolev to name a few great fighters.

Switches camps to Murcielago MMA with Troy Lamson, Khaos Williams, Joaquin Buckle down in Michigan.

Right now Johnson can fight UFC flyweights just has to sit and wait.

“On the feet, there’s no one like me in this weight class. As far as the ground I can get back to my feet and do what I need to do. There are very few guys in the UFC I believe that could take me down and hold me down.”

“Yes for sure,” he answered when asked if he expects a call from the UFC. “I just gotta be patient, train, and stay ready.” Charles Johnson interview with Ryan Truland

Brazilian undefeated flyweight prospect Carlos Mota has a major opportunity to fight LFA Flyweight Champion Charles Johnson in his hometown.

Be a sweeet primal victory if he can defeat Charles Johnson in his hometown with a Leg Kick KO, first round KO or a dominant butt whooping.

Defeating him will build Mota’s name up even more. Taking advantage of the LFA 122 Main Event spotlight and become one of the fastest rising prospects from Brazil.

Mota defeated fighters like Samir Faiddine (9-3 record), George Martinez (4-0) record first round KO in 36 seconds. Mota is a explosive shredded flyweight that honestly reminds me of Jose Aldo and Renan Barao a little bit because of his quickness and striking ability.

Only 26 years old and if he defeats Charles Johnson defends his title once or twice we can see MOTA sign with the UFC.

Rustam Kerimov ACA 135

One of the best Bantamweights outside of the world and definitely can beat UFC/Bellator Bantamweights right now is fighting at ACA 135 on the main card.

Kerimov facing a former opponent Abdul-Rakhman Dudaev that he dominated in winning the ACA Bantamweight title from him.

Always going to be watching his upcoming fights because he’s such a high level fighter whose constantly puts the pressure on his opponents.

Recommend watching his FULL Fights on Youtube to see how good he is. I hope he signs with the UFC in 2022 before it’s too late.

Magomedrasul Gasanov ACA 135

One of he best prospects coming out of Dagestan right now. Current ACA Middleweight Champion.

Russian version of Robert Whittaker is only 26 years old.

Dominating opponents with Sambo. Manhandling older men like there nothing. Time to fight for the UFC in 2022.

Christian Rodriguez NAFC Superbrawl

Anthony Pettis training partner and mini version of the Pettis brothers is one of the best Bantamweight prospects.

Impressive performance fighting Junior Cortez on the Dana White Contender Series. Missed weight but if he didn’t Dana White was going to sign him and make his dreams come true.

Sucks for Christian but I know he’s working hard, Making sure he makes weight next time.

UFC Bantamweight fighter steps out Christian Rodriguez can step him and take advantage of the opportunity.

The talent is written on the wall for him, I’ve watched Ceerod since LFA 82 and in 2022 will see him sign with the UFC. Becoming a rising star as well as the next brightspot from Roufusport MMA Academy.

Garret Armfield Shamrock FC

Sanford MMA prospect is headlining his first event fighting for Shamrock FC. Let’s get it for Garret Armfield he’s a stud.

Nasty hands for a boxer as he’s finished opponents with first round KO’s.

Time to start winning those regional titles in LFA, CFFC, Shamrock FC, Fury FC. Getting even more attention besides for being a prospect for Sanford MMA top five MMA gym in the world no doubt.

  • 7-2 record
  • 25 years old
  • 4 first round finishes

Ramazan Kuramagomedov EFC 44

Khabib’s loyal to his Dagestan brothers, Do anything he can to make his friends go to the UFC or Bellator. Make a living fighting. I’m sure that’s one of the reasons Khabib bought out Gorilla Fighting Championship to help his fighter friends build there names big as possible.

Ramazan Kuramagomedov is one of his friends from Dagestan. High Level Welterweight prospect only 25 years old.

Won his Dana White Contender Series fight against Jordan Williams but didn’t impress Dana White enough to get signed.

Opportunity to fight Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira in a UFC fight but Ramazan got sick. However that won’t be the last time Ramazan gets a UFC offer.

Ramazan is a difficult fighter to face against as he’s a very good kicker with the low kicks and striking, Addition to sticking to you like glue on the ground.

With more fights for Eagles Fighting Championship in 2022 he’ll only become a crisped seasoned welterweight.

EFC 44 fight is a long time veteran John Howard with a record of 29-17. See if Howard has no trouble fighting Ramazan or gets ran through with a first round finish.
