Reminds of those lengthy quick fighters like Nathaniel Wood who fights for UFC. Similar fighting style and potential.

Bruno Santos

Challenging Sebastian Przybysz for the KSW Bantamweight Title. One of the best Brazilian Bantamweight prospects right now.

Scary part to all this Santos is only 22 years old and ALREADY challenging for the KSW Bantamweight title already.

Promising future ahead of him as he’s the next face of Brazilian Bantamweights following the paths of Jose Aldo, Renan Barao and Bibiano Fernandes.

Bellator 268:Prelims Prospects to Watch

Bellator 268 headliner is Vadim Nemkov reigning Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion vs former LFA Light Heavyweight Champion Julius Anglickas.

Bellator card is way better than the UFC Fight Night: Ladd vs Dumont card. Bunch of high level best fighters in the world to watch but I always love writing about the upcoming fighters from all over the world.

Prelim fights are fire as well so definitely watch Bellator 268 beginning to end.

Jaleel Willis

First prospect listed and rising Bellator fighter Jaleel Willis back to back Bellator wins against Mark Lemminger and Maycon Mendonca. Two solid fighters that were newly signed by Bellator.

Willis former LFA Welterweight Champion wants to become a Bellator Welterweight Title challenger in 2021 as he’s ranked in the top ten right now.

“It’s going to end up being a slow smothering fight. Like, there are too many places where he’s just slick, to where if I get too excited or try to, you know, hop on something a little bit too quick, he can make you pay. He can definitely show up when it’s time to. So, to me, it’s just like, I’ve worked to fu*king hard for this guy to take what I’ve been working for. I got to tell myself just to slow it down, and I can beat him in any position. So I just have to focus on that right there. So, that’s the reason in my head; you’ll see a slow smothering fight. I just have to pick him apart.”

https://cagesidepress.com/2021/10/13/bellator-268s-jaleel-willis-sees-matchup-with-mukhamed-berkhamov-being-a-slow-smothering-fight-wants-logan-storley-after/

Bellator 268 fight is against Mukhamed Berkhamov. 14-1 ACA Welterweight. One of the best Welterweights in the world.

Tough test for Jaleel Willis but if he wants to fight the best of the best than this will definitely show good Willis potentially can be.

“The drive that I got is I’m still not in those rankings,” Willis told MMA Junkie Radio. “I still want to get back in there. I want to be more than just No. 10. I want to be more than just who this dude is at the edge of the rankings. I want people to know who the realest is. I want them to know who Jaleel Willis is, honestly.”

https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2021/10/jaleel-willis-driven-by-rankings-wants-logan-storley-after-bellator-268

Mukhamed Berkhamov

Before signing with Bellator was one of the best Welterweights the promotion ACA (Absolute Champioship Akhmat)

14-1 record wins against former Ulimtate Fighter Jesse Taylor who later on fought for Strikeforce, KSW, Cage Warriors. Competed on Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds Tournaments.

Trains at Sanford MMA down in South Florida with a full roster filled of champions, future champions and the best fighters in the world.

All-Around Welterweight reminds me of Vicente Luque because of his crafty boxing ability. See if Mukhamed has what it takes to beat a top ten Bellator welterweight.

Lance Gibson Jr.

Trained by his parents Lance Gibson and Julia Budd he’s becoming a rising prospect for the Bellator roster.

2-0 under Bellator and has a fight coming up against Raymond Pina who won his last fight at Combate 46.

Gibson keeps getting better with every fight. Crafty southpaw who will have a bright future with Bellator.

Watch out for Gibson Jr with rest of 2021 and 2022 will be a year where you see him fight top 15-top 20 Lightweights.

“Her time in Bellator came to an end and it is what it is,” Gibson told MMA Junkie and other reporters at Thursday’s Bellator 268 media day. “Now it’s my time to shine in Bellator and show why I’m going to be world champion. There’s no reason why I shouldn’t be ranked in the top 10 after this fight with a phenomenal performance. Julia will go on with her career and finish it off and do her job.”

https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2021/10/bellator-268-lance-gibson-jr-show-why-going-world-champion-julia-budd

Jaylon Bates

“New Breed” nickname says it all. Next generation of MMA fighters and Scott Coker discovered Bates in the Amateur scene. Recognizing the talent right away.

Winning the FCFF Bantamweight Title against a undefeated amateur fighter Devon Jackson. Winning a Tuff-N-Uff Bantamweight title all lead to Coker making the deal happen.

Now the 24 year old Bantamweight is 3-0, 12-0 overall adding amateur. Moving to ATT Portland training with Brent Primus, Ricky Simon, Ed Herman.

Continuing to train in different locations as he train at Team Bodyshop MMA with AJ McKee and Joey Davis.

Yes he’s a very talented grappler but want to see the improvements in Bates striking versatility.

Everything goes right than Bates should be competing for a Bellator Bantamweight Title 2023 and he needs to least have average or above average striking to mix it up.

Ludovit Klein Opportunity Steal the Show Saturday

First ever Slovakian UFC fighter, Ludovit Klein is fighting former M1- Featherweight Champion Nate Landwehr.

Fighting on the MAIN CARD of Ladd vs Dumont. Ludovit Klein has the opportunity to steal the show tonight not having in this lackluster card and make a bigger name for himself against a formidable opponent.

https://www.ufc.com/news/ludovit-klein-cant-live-without-competition-ufc-fight-night-ladd-dumont

UFC career so far

Stole the show in his UFC debut by KO against Shane Young, City Kickboxing Product.

Deserved to a 50k bonus but Klein missed weight and the UFC doesn’t tolerate missing weight. There was a misunderstanding that leading to it but I’m sure Klein won’t miss weight again.

Second fight was against New Jersey’s own Mike Triziano. Klein training at Sanford MMA with the best fighters in the world from Michael Chandler, Gilbert Burns to name a few.

Judges scored 30-27 Triziano. I have no clue what fight they were watching, Ludovit Klein won the striking exchanges. Triziano didn’t make an impact with the punches. Klein was the superior grappler as he kept succeeding with takedowns.

Klein looked very good in this three round fight as you see flying down to Florida to train at Sanford MMA helped.

Time to face against the wild Nate Landwehr. Doubt this fight will be boring as both fighters will put on a show for the fans but Klein is the more talented fighter with grappling and Slovakian Amateur Boxing Champion.

Defeating Nate Landwehr is another win in the right direction leading to bigger fights in 2021. Right matchups in 2021 can lead to top fifteen ranking.

“I want to move forward and get to the Top 15 as soon as possible,” he said when asked what’s next. “But after the fight, I want to take some quick rest to be with my family because I have been in preparation for this fight a long time.”

There is little to no recourse on these judges not being able to do their jobs properly and for a fighter like Kai who moved his entire household from Hawaii to pursue this career, it’s simply not right.

UFC 265 Fighters to Keep an Eye On

Derick Lewis vs Cyril Gane for the UFC Heavyweight Interim Title. One shot for Derick Lewis is night night for Gane. I can’t wait for this fight and card in general. Plenty fighters to watch who MAY have BRIGHT futures in the UFC.

Rafael Fiziev

#1 choice is the rising Lightweight, Former Muay Thai Champion Rafael Fiziev. Entering this featuring prelim fight on a three fight winning streak and facing a MMA veteran Bobby Green. Fighting since the Strikeforce days and made a big name for himself during COVID.

GREAT TEST for Fiziev to see what he’s truly made of. Fight in the right direction. PERFECT spot for a young hungry fighter to build his name on a Pay Per View card.

“This guy is very tough. He started to fight a long time ago and he has big experience. I respect all this and I respect him. But I don’t think that he has more experience than me because I have big experience in amateur fights, won them all. I’m on a good road.”

https://www.scmp.com/sport/martial-arts/mixed-martial-arts/article/3144222/ufc-265-surging-lightweight-star-rafael

Rafael Fiziev 9-1 record vs Bobby Green 27-11-1. Obvious Bobby Green is the experienced fighter but Rafael Fiziev trains at Tiger Muay Thai with Petr Yan, Valentina Shevchenko, Timofey Nastyukhin (One Championship).

“I don’t think about finishing him; I never think about finishing opponents,” the recipient of performance bonuses in his last two fights said. “I’m ready every time for a hard fight, a long distance, and such a hard fight, not an easy fight. I stay ready for this every time. I never say, ‘Oh, it’s an easy fight, oh, I finish him.’ It’s never easy. It’s always hard work.”

Manel Kape

Former Rizin Bantamweight Champion is 0-2 with UFC. One more chance for Kape to impress the UFC or he’s gonna be CUT from the UFC. One of the biggest UFC signings in recent years, Being the Rizin Bantamweight Champion is an accomplishment that easily attracted the UFC to sign him.

Kape has all the talent in the world but he needs to have the same confidence he had fighting for RIZIN as one of there biggest stars. Kape isn’t getting dominated biggest problem with him is striking more, Not being afraid to let it GO.

“I love watching him fight, He’s a savage, He’s a beast he’s gonna be a problem I just hope that that he gets used to the cage.” Muhammad Lawal interview with Mike Swick

“Everybody say that they can stand with me but when they feel my hands they want to shoot some takedowns… I don’t believe that we are the same level. I need to respect his left hand. He has power in his left hand, he has shown already at featherweight. But I’ve been fighting with fighters who have a lot of power in hands and nobody never knocked me down. I’m really focused for this fight and I believe I will knock out him.”

Miles Johns

UFC prospect I’m high on fights in the Bantamweight division. Explosive Bantamweight tank built like Chad Mendes. Trains at the Texas Powerhouse Gym Fortis MMA owned by former NBA All-Star Deron Williams and ran by Sayif Saud.

Facing the experienced 21-8 Anderson dos Santos. Hopefully with a win with against dos Santos there’s a winning streak and a rising year for Miles Johns. Rewarded with a bonus tonight definitely deserves the 50k’s.

Johnny Munoz Jr

Former King of the Cage Bantamweight Champion “lost” to Nate Maness in his UFC debut. I disagreed with the decision really believe Munoz Jr won the fight, Shocked by the decision but tonight we can see FIRST UFC win.

He sees plenty of advantages for himself in this fight and is envisioning a big finish to get himself in the win column.

AJ McKee vs Mads Burnell First Title Defense for AJ McKee

Congratulations on the new Bellator star AJ McKee defeating the face of Bellator Patricio “Pitbull’ Friere. AJ McKee is the new Bellator Featherweight Champion.

Mads Burnell

Mads Burnell former UFC fighter, Cage Warriors Featherweight Champion is now 3-0 with Bellator. Defeating the GREAT Emmanuel Sanchez at Bellator 263 in a unanimous decision win. Shows how talented Mads Burnell defeated a former Bellator Featherweight title challenger, Giving Pitbull his toughest of his life.

Burnell vs Sanchez was a back & forth fight, Testament to Burnell’s mental toughness and cardio going a high paced three round fight.

“I can say hands down for sure, I’m the slickest 145er in the world,” Burnell said at the post-fight news conference. “It may seem like I’m getting hit, but I’m rolling with the punches and all that stuff. I saw the significant strikes after the fight and I was like, ‘What the hell, man?’ Of course, he hit me with a little bit, but the shots he hit me with was like nothing.”

https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2021/08/bellator-263-mads-burnell-anticipates-future-showdown-against-aj-mckee

Mads Burnell in his own right is one talented dude and will give AJ McKee a tough fight. Mads Burnell definitely deserves it after beating the title contender Emmanuel Sanchez.

Questionaire “Is AJ someone that you want to take.”

Answer ” Yeah later of course if that’s who if I have to fight for the title that’s who I have to fight.”

Burnell needs to rest, Chill with his family and fall of 2021 we can see AJ McKee have his first title defense.

Burnell will give AJ Mckee a different look, Definitely a slick fighter. A chin, Has some hands. NO GI Brazilian Jiu Jitsu European Champion. Definitely one of the best Jiu-Jitsu players in the Bellator Featherweight Division.

UFC on ESPN 28 Prospects to Watch

Melsik Baghdasaryan

Jumped on the scene fighting on the Dana White Contender Series, Beating the crap out of his opponent but Dennis Buzukja kept going because of pure well and mental strength.

However I was really impressed with his performance, HIGH LEVEL striking. Besides being a 5-1 fighter, Melsik was a Wu Lin Feng International Welterweight Kickboxing champion in 2014. K1 Welterweight Title Challenger in 2018.

“His speed and his power is unbelievable. He’s a world-class striker,” Tarverdyan said. “I believe right now when he walks in that cage on Tuesday, he’s one of the biggest punchers in the 145 division.”

Hope to see a better Rafa Garcia Saturday night was excited when I seen the UFC sign him.

Kai Kamaka

Xtreme Couture product since 2020 shown his potential in fight against TJ Brown. Didn’t get the win but should’ve. Kai Kamaka definitely has potential to be a Featherweight title contender in the next FEW years, Entering his prime at 26 years old.

Kai Kamaka rewarded fight of the night 50k bonus but fight against Danny Chavez will see performance of the night bonus.

“This sport can be cruel to you, but you have two choices: You can quit or you can move on. I’ve chosen to move on,” Kamaka told KHON2 sports director Rob DeMello. “My feelings about the fight have stayed the same. I still feel that I won, but that’s why I just kept going.”

EVERY MMA fan is excited for TJ Dillashaw vs Cory Sandhagen Main Event fight but top to bottom is a sneaky card.

Maycee Barber vs Miranda Maverick

Maycee Barber hot prospect as she was determined to become the UFC youngest champion, Taking over the throne over Valentina Shevchenko. Torn ACL stopped the momentum of Maycee Barber losing to Roxanne Modaferri than to Alexa Grasso.

“Bring it on,” Barber told MMA Junkie at a media day at the UFC Apex. “It’s been a roller coaster, but it’s been a huge learning lesson, and I’ve had a lot of fun with it. There’s going to be good times and bad times along life, and I’m ready for it all – and ready to learn and grow from it all.”

https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2021/07/ufc-on-espn-27-maycee-barber-unshaken-by-recent-struggles

Switching camps to Team Alpha Male, Owned by Urijah Faber. Looking to change things up.

“It’s been really good, you know, California is amazing. It’s super beautiful, and I got a good tan, but the team overall, you know, is a lot of motivated people. There are people that are trying to be at the top of the UFC, and there are also people who are trying to get into the UFC and in other big promotions. I feel like there are two different levels of hunger, but they’re both hunger.”

https://cagesidepress.com/2021/07/22/maycee-barber-relocated-california-training-team-alpha-male/

I just love how everybody is in the same building as well and they are all on the same page which is what I need at this point in my career. I’ve also been working with Urijah Faber a lot and got some work in with Danny Castillo, Chris Holdsworth, and then all their fighters around my weight there.”

Miranda Maverick former Invicta Flyweight Tournament winner, Two fight UFC winning streak at 24 years old with a 9-2 record. #13 UFC Flyweight right now and defeating the hot prospect Maycee Barber but Miranda Maverick is her own hot prospect.

“My school will be over in the fall, and then I’ll have less to worry about, so I’ll be able to put more of my focus on fighting. And I’m really excited about what I can do [as a fighter] when I have that time to focus more on training, nutrition, all of those kinds of things that lead to success in this business.”

https://sports.yahoo.com/ph-d-candidate-miranda-maverick-juggling-studies-with-promising-ufc-career-001533278.html

https://sports.yahoo.com/ph-d-candidate-miranda-maverick-juggling-studies-with-promising-ufc-career-001533278.html

“That’s the only fight I didn’t want because I think we are very young prospects and I think we both have a big future in this sport,” Miranda said. “She (Maycee) is already on a two-fight losing streak, she is gonna be on a three-fight losing streak.”

https://www.essentiallysports.com/mma-ufc-news-its-a-bad-matchmaking-miranda-maverick-explains-why-ufc-shouldnt-have-booked-her-against-maycee-barber/

Punahele Soriano Xtreme Couture product, Contender Series alumni is on a two fight winning streak with TWO first round KO’s. Soriano 8-0 record at 28 years old. 2021 can be a MAJOR year for him to put his name out there.

“It comes with a lot of pressure, but I love to live up to that and push beyond that,” offered Soriano, who missed all of 2020 after dealing with a hip injury. “I don’t want to just be another Hawaiian with a granite chin that can hit hard — I want to be the Hawaiian that can do that and everything else; the guy that can wrestle, can grapple, can win hard rounds, and can grind it out.

https://www.ufc.com/news/punahele-soriano-wants-be-new-breed-ufc-fight-night-sandhagen-dillashaw-read

“I know he comes from a good camp — they’ve got tough guys there, good coaches — but I’m just going to go out there and out-fight him. I’m not afraid to get tired. I’m not afraid to get in there and give it my all. I’m not afraid to die out there.

Brendan Allen Former LFA Middleweight Champion, Won a contract on the Dana White Contender Series. Dealt with a tough loss against Sean Strickland but defeated a REALLY GOOD Karl Roberson.

Keoni Diggs Impressive against Weichel

Bellator 261 fight of the night was Daniel Weichel vs Keoni Diggs. What a FIGHT, Wish the fight was five rounds but it’s all good. Back and forth technical stand up fight.

Daniel Weichel won by Decision (split) (29–28, 28–29, 30–27) but Keoni Diggs won this fight no disrespect to Weichel but Keoni Diggs beat him stastically, Won the third round. The commentators were saying Diggs won as well.

The judges messed up on this one.

Loss on Diggs record but Diggs need to keep his head held up high, I was so impressed with his striking. Continuing to stand up with Weichel. Hearing the popp in Diggs hands, See Weichel backing up.

Diggs 34 years old 9-1 record crazy improvements. Love to see more of Keoni Diggs, Next up for him can be Pedro Carvalho, Saul Rogers or Jeremy Kennedy.

Hawaii has Max Holloway, BJ Penn, Ilima Lei Macfarlane and Keoni Diggs is one of the NEXT GREAT Hawaii born MMA fighters.

You gotta pay your dues and it’s a lot of ups and downs and of course it just makes when you get to where you’re at and you’re still climbing, I’m still climbing and we’re just trying to get to where we’re at and you never know where we’re gonna end up but we just keep pushing forward, pushing forward and it definitely makes it a lot sweeter. You stop a little and think back on things like, wow.

https://www.khon2.com/sports/hawaiis-keoni-diggs-embraces-the-journey-that-has-led-him-to-bellator-261-showdown-against-featherweight-contender-daniel-weichel/

Bellator 260 Sleeper Fight Claxton vs Gonzales

Bellator 260 headliner is Lima vs Amosov, Welterweight showdown but Bellator 260 FULL CARD is a entertaining card to watch from Main card to the beginning prelims. Excited for today’s Bellator fights.

Ty-wan Claxton vs Justin Gonzales

Ty-Wan Claxton vs Justin Gonzales is my sleeper fight for Bellator 260. Two high level Featherweights fighting on the prelims!!

Last loss was against Jay-Jay Wilson losing by split decision. Claxton a tough fighter 9th ranked Bellator Featherweight.

“There’s also a difference in the competition. Training with hard people is one thing, and then being across the cage from another guy like [Emmanuel Sanchez, or [Jay Jay] Wilson is a different animal. Being across the cage from a guy that’s like me or one of those guys will let you know real fast that you always have room to grow. So I’m looking forward to welcoming the best 145-pounder in the world come Friday night.”

https://mymmanews.com/tywan-claxton-believes-his-experience-will-allow-him-to-offer-up-a-piece-of-humble-pie-at-bellator-260/

“I’m going out there looking to be the best version of myself looking to add another one to my highlight reel.”

Claxton since the Emmanuel Sanchez loss struggling mentally and every fighter needs that mental strength to win. Claxton found himself, Changing his coaches but staying with Elevation Fight Team.

“I’m the best I feel, I feel like I’m the best version of myself you know I feel like I’m the best I’ve ever been.”

Claxton training with killers, “Iron sharpens Iron.” Making Claxton even better fighter. Mixing up the old with the new skills he learned since July 2020.

Justin Gonzales fought on the Dana White Contender Series, Obviously didn’t get the UFC contract. Gonzales to every hardcore fan is one of the best Featherweight prospects in the United States.

Justin Gonzales won the vacant LFA Featherweight Title against Jake Childers. Former Sparta Combat League Featherweight Champion. Bellator signed a big time MMA prospects.

“… You know, I’m coming to prove a point. So no disrespect to Tywan. I know he’s very tough. I’ve got much love for the guy. I don’t really know him personally, so I can’t comment on his personal life. But in that cage, man, I know I’m coming to kill, so I plan on getting the stoppage and making a statement, jumping in those rankings, and then run with it. It’s ‘The J-Train Show’ now, baby.”

https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2021/06/bellator-260-justin-gonzales-debut-j-train-show
