End of February 2022 MMA Prospects to Watch

Wrote February prospects of the month in the beginning of February. However missed some prospects to watch because of updated events.

Promotional events such as LFA, ACA, PFL Challenger Series, KSW, Fury FC have some talented fighters with potential to get signed by a Major Promotion in 2022 or in the next following years.

I’m picky with the prospects I select, Looking for the next champions, title contenders, top 10 fighters not fighters who are very successful regional fighters but have a short stint with the UFC.

Imran Bukuev vs Aren Akopyan ACA 136

ACA Flyweight Title Fight is the headliner for ACA 136, Two of the best European Flyweights facing each other.

Picture a high level fast pace striking, wrestling sprawls, sambo fighting affair for five rounds. ACA puts on some great fights and the ACA 136 Main Event will be a great one.

Imran Bukuev coming off a strong back and forth win against Maycon Silva, Imran is an all around talented Flyweight. Stocky flyweight whose main focus is takedowns.

Aren Akopyan different style of a fighter more like Joseph Benavidez, Kyoji Horiguchi. Aren is in his prime right now while Imran is 26 years old.

Imran vs Aren will be one of the best fights of the month of February. Both fighters are very good and definitely can get signed by a top three promotion.

Bibert Tumenov ACA 136

One of the best Russian Featherweight prospects, ACA Top Ten Featherweight is a very good fighter. Straight Pitbull like Eddie Alvarez & Chad Mendes.

Bibert Tumenov coming off a fast pace talented display of Featherweight fighting back and forth fight. Yes he lost to Islam Omarov but it was a great fight.

Tumenov next fight is oppurtunity to make a name for himself against Diego Brandao. Diego fought everyone from Conor McGregor, Brian Ortega, Ultimate Fighter Season 14 winner. He’s not the tough fighter like he used to be, On a losing streak but he’ll defeat most professional fighters.

Cheering for Tumenov as he has potential to fight for a big time promotion in the next few years.

Altynbek Mamashev ACA 136

One of the best Central Asia Welterweight prospects is a savage from Kyrgyzstan who most likely can defeat UFC Welterweights.

Mamashev is such a world class talent just doesn’t get the name recognition as he would if he fought for Cage Warriors or Legacy Fighting Alliance.

Record of 17-2 99% of the time Mamashev finishes fights. Coming off a huge win against former UFC fighter Elias Silvério. Second round he was pressing Elias against the cage lead to Mamashev throwing a five punch combination. Last punch lead to Elias mouthguard spitting out.

He hits like a truck not to mention he’s built out of stone.

Adrian Bartosiński

Co Main Event for KSW 67 is Andrzej Grzebyk vs Adrian Bartosinski. Andrzej was the former FEN Welterweight and Middleweight Champion.

Adrian Bartosinski is the fighter my eyes are on, Next Poland prospect to get signed by the UFC.

Adrian was to defeat one of the best European Welterweights right now that would be a huge win for him.

Undefeated record of 11-0 record 2-0 with KSW defeating fighters with winning records.

Once Roberto Soldic leaves to sign with UFC, Adrian Bartosinski will take the throne and become the KSW Welterweight Champion.

Levi Mowles

One of the best prospects out of the United States, Top 15 Bantamweight prospects in the world.

Only a matter of time with a short notice fight he’ll get signed by the UFC. Getting offered a short notice fight and taking advantage of the oppurtunity.

Can’t really pick any weaknesses for him as he’s an all around talent defeating high quality fighters such as former UFC Fighter Teruto Ishihara, former Cage Titans Main Event fighter Johnny Campbell, Former CFFC Bantamweights Champion James Gonzalez.

Upcoming fight definitely can be on a UFC card. Levi Mowles next opponent is Justin Scoggins former UFC fighter and former Rizin fighter with wins over Ray Borg, Split decision loss to Umar Nurmagomedov.

If Levi Mowles can defeat Scoggins he’ll be getting a UFC call shortly.
