Soren Bak Ends 2021 as Bellator Lightweight #1 Contender

Soren Bak, Former Cage Warriors Featherweight and Cage Warriors Lightweight Champion decided to sign with Bellator instead of UFC.

“Yeah, there is some truth to that,” Bak told MMA Junkie. “But the real truth is we were looking for the best deal we could find anywhere. Not just financially or looking at long at the term, but all the way around. Bellator had the best deal on the table – the best opportunity.”

Good for him to sign with Bellator as Bellator will do a better job with one of the best European prospects. Winning a Cage Warriors title is the greatest accomplishment for a MMA prospect.

Former Cage Warriors champion is 1-0 with Bellator. Defeating Terry Brazier in his Bellator debut in 2019. No fights since 2020 because of Covid-19 but hopefully with 2021 we see Soren Bak pursuing the Bellator Lightweight Title in 2021.

“As of right now, I’m aiming to climb the ladder and rankings as quickly as possible,” explained Bak. “I work with long-term goals and that’s fitting since my contract is for multiple fights. When I’ve solidified my place in the Bellator division, I see no reason not to go for yet another belt!”

Bak is highly capable of moving up the Bellator Lightweight ladder, Defeating Morgan Charriere whose the next big thing in Cage Warriors, Paddy Pimblett, Alexander Jacobsen.

“Even though I have a good record and good run coming in I know I have to prove myself in front of new opposition. I fully expect I am capable of reaching what I did at Cage Warriors.”

Second fight in 2021 can be former Ultimate Fighter contestant, UFC Fighter Myles Jury, Nate Andrews, Sidney Outlaw in the Bellator Main Cards. Bellator really focusing on making the prelims, Main Card fights interesting & high level as possible. Bak vs Outlaw be a high level prospect fight that hardcore MMA addicts will love to watch. Basically watching two potential Bellator Lightweight Champions fighting each other. Bak wins this fight that would earn the respect from Scott Coker and Rich Chau(Bellator matchmaker).

Fans back home in Denmark will be all staying tuned to watch Bak face the former Bellator Lightweight Champion. Defeating Primus can have Bak face Patricio “Pitbull” Friere in 2022.

One year Bak can rise to the top of the Bellator Lightweight Division.
