Kevin Lee Fighter to watch #15 2020 UFC Lightweight Champion

Kevin Lee, UFC 216 was fighting Tony “El Cucuy” Ferguson for the Interim Lightweight Title in 2017. Lee lost to Ferguson but bounced back against Edson Barboza. Two fight LOSING streak would happen, Struggling. Trouble deciding if he stay at Lightweight or move up to Welterweight. Coaching change was needed and Lee is now coached by Firas Zihabi. Firas will coach Lee to being a UFC Lightweight Champion in 2020.

Kevin Lee return to Lightweight was a smart decision, Lightweight return was against Gregor Gillespie(Lightweight no fighter wants to face) . Lee looked phenomenal Head Kick KO in the first round that awarded Lee a performance of the night bonus.

Kevin Lee and Islam Makhachev is the next fight for Lee, Islam is the next Khabib, He’s from Dagestan and is a grappling save like Khabib. Lee vs Islam is rumored for UFC 249 in Brooklyn. UFC 249 Khabib vs Ferguson. Lee vs Islam most likely will be a main card fight that will entertain the fans quickly!!

Lee options after a “Win” over Makhachev is fighting the winner of Felder vs Hooker, Intersting fight with title contender Dustin Poirier or Justin Gaethje. All these matchups would be interesting to watch.

Kevin Lee is two or three fights away of a Lightweight title shot and with Lee’s potential and being coached by Firas Zihabi, George St Pierre. Lee can fight for the Lightweight title by the end of 2020.
