Loughnane vs Moraes PFL 1 Main Event

New A-List star for the PFL promotion is Brendan Loughnane PFL Featherweight Tournament Champion one of the best fighters unsigned from UFC/Bellator. PFL promoter Ray Sefo building Loughnane up by getting the name value out of recent signee Marlon Moraes.

“I’m glad they brought Marlon in, I need fights with name value now,” Loughnane told Mirror Fighting. “Marlon gives me massive name value so it’s definitely a good one to add to the win streak.

Loughnane ready for his toughest challenge but more than capable of defeating Moraes from defeating high caliber fighters Bubba Jenkins, Chris Wade. Total isolation for this fight training at Thailand with Khamzat Chimaev, Mokaev, Till, Kane Mousah to name a few.

Marlon Moraes prime UFC/WSOF days are over but possibly has ONE MORE run in him before officially calling it a career. Switching camps to American Top Team different scenery, different coaches can bring some of that hunger back he used to have.

“Durable guy, but nobody is unbeatable, nobody is unfinishable. Let’s go out there and try to be the first one to finish him,” Moraes said on

Best option for PFL business wise is Marlon Moraes finds rejuvenation and gives Loughnane toughest test. Loughnane passes the test winning the fight in a three round battle. Loughnane wins the fight PFL Executives market the English talent as the Male A-List star one of the best fighters in the world who can defeat top 15 UFC Featherweights.

The fight lives up to the hype, cheering for Professional Fighters League this year to improve as it continues to build recognition around the promotion. Hope Loughnane and Moraes bring there A+ game to this fight as can attract new viewers to the promotion.

Wilkinson vs Santos Co-Main Event PFL One

Two former UFC fighters facing each other in first co-main event of PFL 2023 season. Exciting Light Heavyweight matchup of two potential Light Heavyweight champions.

Short stint in the UFC never made Rob Wilkinson give up his MMA dream. 2022 PFL Light Heavyweight Champion after finishing every opponent on route to final.

Wilkinson no question toughest test to date but ready for the opportunity to face a game opponent former UFC Light Heavyweight title challenger. Gave Jon Jones run for his money with torn ACL.

“I’m not gonna be worried about injury, about anything. I have to win my fight, and then I have to think about the next one.” Thiago Santos said on

Congratulations to Thiago Santos testing free agency and choosing the best option. Thiago Santos resume speaks for itself, #1 candidate to win PFL Light Heavyweight tournament and earn the million dollar prize.

“Man, it will be good for my family. Become the PFL light heavyweight champion, have my belt, and get $1 million. That’s it,” Santos said on

Santos KO power, striking ability, size, foot speed and strength definitely can make him win this fight.

Wilkinson winning this fight will be life changing victory for him to really put the Australian on the global MMA map. ESPN MMA will be talking about this victory for 24 hours impressively defeating Santos. On the other hand Santos defeats Wilkinson than talk about Thiago Santos having one championship run in him.

“He was one of the top 10 guys when he left the UFC so going out there and beating him and making a statement against him will really show that I’m the guy to beat,” Wilkinson said on

Chris Wade vs Bubba Jenkins

Bad blood between these two former competitors, trash talking at media day, words said face to face with Brett Okamto in between. Time to settle the score at PFL 1.

Chris Wade in my opinion one of the more underrated fighters in the world. 5-2 UFC record giving Islam Makhachev tough challenge than 10-5 PFL career. Back to back years runner up for PFL Featherweight title aiming to win 2023 PFL Featherweight title.

Winning first convincingly, looks to dominate Jenkins again having 2-0 record against former Bellator and Brave CF fighter Bubba Jenkins.

“I live rent free in that guy’s head,” Wade told reporters at Thursday’s media day. “He’s a broken man. He showed up and he looks a little deranged, honestly. He’s a special individual.” Chris Wade replying to answers.

Bubba Jenkins background in Arizona State Wrestling always lead to his success from winning Brave CF title but since signing with PFL can see watch his boxing improve fight by fight. Curious what striking techniques he learnt in the gym.

“I definitely tweaked some things,” he admitted. I need more orthodox standing, because if I was a little bit more orthodox standing, I wouldn’t have the knot on my shin that I still have to this moment.

Rough taste in his mouth losing PFL Featherweight final against Brendan Loughnane. Revenging his tough loss to Chris Wade can start 2023 with confidence possibly leading to title run than opportunity to win the desired one million dollar prize.

“I’m just excited for the season to start again to get that opportunity again. Six months of hard focus, I believe we can not only be back in the same seat, but be holding the belt at the end of the year. That’s the goal.” Bubba Jenkins said on media day

Chris Wade vs Bubba Jenkins settle there bad blood saturday night, Animosity and tension between possibly lead to intense fight. What fighter stays composed, what fighter fights with there heart instead of their brain. Only one way to find out just watch!!

Alejandro Flores vs Daniel Torres

Earlier on prelims is interesting prospect fight. PFL returnee from 2022 season and debut of a top featherweight prospect really excited about watching.

Story on Alejandro Flores officially signed with PFL in 2022 having .500 record defeating Saba Bolaghi. Pre PFL had opportunity on Dana White Contender Series. UFC attraction to him was being Combate Americas headlining star.

Sophomore season can be interesting for Flores watch out for new improvements, may surprised people as he’s more comfortable fighting for new promotion, comfortable fighting under the tournament format.

Trains out VFS Academy with Interim UFC Featherweight Champion Yair Rodriguez, title contender Belal Muhammad, Ignacio Bahomondes,

PFL signing Daniel Torres is a GREAT acquisition. Peru born featherweight top five featherweight prospect in the world. Won KSW Featherweight Title against Salahdine Parnasse #1 Featherweight prospect.

Current record of 14-5 successful career with KSW defeating Parnasse, Max Coga, Roman Symanski & Filip Pejic. (Final Fight Featherweight Champion)

Interested how Torres performs under the PFL lights but he fought in front of sold out Poland arenas defeating high caliber fighters. Compared to other debut fighters this will be “easy”. Definitely tough opponent but Torres speed will be the deciding factor in this fight continue to be few steps ahead of Flores.
