Jack Shore Next Matchup 2023

Wales next great fighter was Cage Warriors Bantamweight Champion, started off UFC career fighting at 135 pounds but because of tough weight cuts moved up to Featherweight.

“The last probably three or four weight cuts have been really tough. There’s no secret I always look like death on when I’m up on the scale. My old man and my other coaches have probably been at me for about 12-18 months to consider the move,” Shore told reporters including Cageside Press on Wednesday https://cagesidepress.com/2023/03/15/ufc-286-jack-shore/

Outstanding featherweight debut against Makwan Amirkhani, finishing with second round rear naked choke.

Shore will be competing in #1 UFC division, stable of talent going 20-30 deep of potential title contenders or top ten featherweights. Few years picture Welsh featherweight to become title contender but needs to be ranked first…

Edging top 15 in my opinion because of his accomplishments at Bantamweight and defeating formidable opponent needs one opponent to be top 15 ranked.

“Featherweight is a lot like bantamweight. I’m kind of out of one shark tank and into another. There’s plenty of big names there. There’s plenty of good guys there, and I’m sure they’ll be willing to take me on just as I’ll be willing to take them on.” Jack Shore said on UFC 286 Post Fight press conference MMAjunkie.com

Alex Caceres

Fought on Ultimate Fighter Season 12, Began UFC career 2011 struggled with wins or losses in his UFC career but finally coming into his own since UFC 250 with record of 5-1.

#15 ranked Featherweight withdrawn from his fight Nate Landwehr for undisclosed reasons right now, but this would be solid matchup for Jack Shore.

Alex Caceres test Shore’s Jiu-Jitsu ability, grappling defense, ability to kickbox a faster fighter but Shore is one solid grappler can damage Caceres with accurate boxing and easy leg kicks.

Shore vs Caceres definitely will be interesting matchup can schedule on a UFC Fight Night.

Sodiq Yusuff

Featherweight fighter I remain high on is contender series alumnus Sodiq Yusuff. 12th ranked featherweight has 6-1 record with tough loss to future Featherweight Champion Arnold Allen.

Continuing to improve fight by fight entering 2023 at prime age of 29 years old, watch out for the balanced all-around fighter to make a jump into the top eight this year. However, Shore can prevent that featherweight climb from happening.

Shores advantages in grappling, long and tall body can be advantage in the overall striking department. Pressing Yusuff, making him move backwards and having trouble getting a solid flow going. Interesting aspect in this matchup would be who’s the better striker?

Shore vs Yusuff great potential matchup interesting chess match to watch as both fighters hungry to have great years, Making the next step in the Featherweight division.

Joanderson Brito

Before UFC was one of the best featherweight prospects in the world. Proved his talents against top featherweight prospect Diego Lopes.

Continuing to show his potential in the UFC with defeating Team Alpha Male fighter Andre Fili with 1st round KO.

Brito unranked right now but with defeating “bigger name” featherweights like Jack Shore, Dan Ige, Nate Landwehr can build up his name and be in conversation as top fifteen 145-pound fighter.

Joanderson Brito’s advantages in explosive power, speed, one punch KO power and leg kick power can end Shore’s night early but if Shore fights technically smart can get his hand raised.

Story of the matchup is two hungry lions wanting to put on impressive showcase for Shelby & Maynard.

Shore’s Target Dates

Lose body fat, improve skills in the gym and one day can really Jack Shore three years becoming title contender. Moving up weight class was best decision for him as you can tell from his debut just needs to get add more muscle jump into a strength & conditioning program.

“I’ll keep getting better, I’ll keep going a little bit bigger, I’ll keep getting stronger.” Jack Shore

Specific dates for Shore’s next potential fight can happen before July or October UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi. Reasoning for these dates is because Jack’s wife about to give birth in July.

“I got my son coming in July so maybe we can get one I mean before if it’s a European card perhaps.” Jack Shore UFC 286

“They announced Abu Dhabi in October I think if I don’t get the fight till after the baby comes out that would be a great card to get on but let’s not write one off before just yet let’s see if I can smooth the misses over and maybe get one in before.” Jack Shore
