Ludovit Klein Aims to Silence the Hometown Crowd at UFC 286

Slovakian fans will be cheering for Ludovit Klein back home but booed as he makes his entrance walks to the octagon. However, that won’t disappoint the mentally strong Lightweight prospect.

Aims to silence the hometown crowd with a unanimous win or KO against Leon Edwards main training partner… Jai Herbert. O2 arena crowd will do whatever they can to disrupt Klein’s focus but definitely can get the win even though the hometown crowd will be on Herbert’s side.

Klein UFC Career

Signed with UFC in 2020 after having successful European career with Oktagon MMA and ACB earlier in his pro career. Started his UFC debut with a bang first round finish against City Kickboxing product Shane Young.

Controversial loss to Mike Triziano as the judges scored the fight wrong as Klein clearly won that fight, Tough loss to Nate Landwehr in 2021. 2022 Klein and his team decided to make a change moving up to Lightweight as the cutdown to 145 pounds was physically draining for the strong fighter.

Lightweight debut under the UFC defeated Dana White Contender Series alumni Devonta Smith (3-3 UFC record) showed a complete arsenal of striking. Excellent boxing jabs, fast up high leg kicks, great job fighting in close range against the fast & long Smith.

Klein was scheduled to fight Ignacio Bahamondes but withdrawn from the bout and got replaced with new opponent former Cage Warriors Lightweight and Welterweight Champion Mason Jones.

Klein looked strong in all aspects of MMA, forcing Jones against the cage, punch combinations that lead to knockdown, third round showed off strong base of ground & pound. Currently the biggest win of his career until he defeats Jai Herbert.

Following similar fighting strategy did against Smith & Jones he’d can defeat Jai Herbert (former Cage Warriors Lightweight Champion) in convincing fashion. Klein starts being discussed as rising Lightweight prospect to watch out for in 2023.
