UFC 283 Main Card is stacked with incredible title fights, Intriguing storylines. Making sure I drink couple cups of coffee to stay up and watch till 12-1 AM because I’ll be on the couch watching the UFC prelims start to finish because there some great fighters on this card from rising UFC fighters, Dana White Contender Series signees or Brazilian prospects.

Really excited about this card, Start to finish. UFC 283 here we come.

Ismael Bonfim vs Terrance McKinney Lightweight Clash

Top 10 Lightweight prospect in the world, Second best Brazilian Lightweight finally making his UFC debut after earning UFC contract from Dana White Contender Series. Ismael Bonfim is part of the next swab of prospects to make an impact in the UFC in next few years.

Before beating Nariman Abbasov on DWCS attracted UFC matchmakers Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard to sign him when he defeated two high caliber Lightweights on LFA. Defeating top five Brazilian Lightweights Rangel De Sa & Andrey Augusto with unanimous decisions.

UFC debut is against rising KO star Terrance McKinney who’d love to quiet the Brazilian fans with blasting Bonfim into the shadow realm. However Ismael Bonfim is a talented fighter with heavy hands who brings the pressure on the feet. Watching his “Full Fights” when Bonfim throws hard punches to the face they move several steps backwards.

No question toughest fight in Ismael Bonfim’s life but definitely can win this fight by decision or finish. Brazilian Lightweight needs to be calculated, Pick his shots and sometimes hammer McKinney throughout the five minute rounds.

  • 18-3 record
  • #2 Brazilian Lightweight
  • Comparison- Michael Johnson

Bruno Ferreira vs Gregory Rodrigues

Brazilian on Brazilian crime gotta love this fight. One of these fighters are going to sleep. Gregory Rodrigues gradually making his name with two strong finishes against Julian Marquez & Chidi Noujanki. Edging the top 15 Middleweight rankings, Win against #1 Brazilian Middleweight prospect Bruno Ferreira would definitely help.

Bruno Ferreira undefeated prospect at 9-0 at 30 years old is at the prime of is career. Solid-Around Middleweight fighter with smooth feet, Explosive power can possibly upset Gregory Rodrigues and make a UFC debut splash. However Ferreira has a tough test in front of him.

Story of this fight first or second round finish. Way to make a debut against Gregory Rodrigues. Maybe pulls off the upset.

Thiago Moises vs Melquizael Costa

Removed from Top 15 rankings because of back to back losses before winning against Giagos. Hopefully Moises can start a winning streak and return back to Top 15 Lightweight rankings. Gaining back that confidence once had as he was rising in 2020.

Moises opponent is top Brazilian Lightweight Melquizael Costa. Making his UFC debut has a tough test in front of him but he’s a skilled silky striker. Nasty kickboxing skills for MMA fighter. Roundhouse kicks, Never stays in one spot. Opponents have to fight at his pace or they’ll lose.

Costa isn’t the most physically appealing fighter in the world but a nasty striker who brings the entertainment to the cage. Melquizael Costa.can pull of the upset with some crazy kick to the body. Catching Moises sleeping or making mistake.

Moises vs Costa can be fun fight to watch. Moises can win easily or Costa can have solid UFC debut against former top 15 Lightweight.

Mounir Lazzez vs Gabriel Bonfim

UFC record of 2-1, 11-2 record. Impressive highlight reel finishes fighting for UAE Warriors, Desert Force that made Dana White desire to sign him. Mounir Lazzez is a talented striker who brings the entertaining fight with first round finishes. Mounir Lazzez opponent is one of the best Welterweight prospects in the world, Gabriel Bonfim.

Gabriel Bonfim #1 Brazilian Welterweight prospect, LFA Welterweight Champion earned a contract from Dana White Contender Series. Highly anticipated debut myself and many others been waiting for. Bonfim is betting favorite in this fight for reason because he’s well rounded fighter from the tight jabs to the body, Fighting in close range & nasty jiu-jitsu submissions.

Bonfim has professional boxing background, Undefeated record of 5-0. Boxing definitely shows in his LFA fights as it’s very crisp, Fundamental strikes that I appreciate watching. #1 Brazil Welterweight is a killer with skills that deserve to be shown in the biggest MMA promotion.

Gabriel Bonfim will be sweet addition to UFC Welterweight Division. Straight impact into the welterweight division with impressive wins starting with Lazzez.

Mounir Lazzez vs Gabriel Bonfim will be fun fight to watch, Back and forth strikes looking to finish his opponent standing in front of him.

Jailton Almeida Heavyweight

Sweet addition to Heavyweight stable making a statement with submission wins against Anton Turkalj and Parker Porter. Looking to continue his undefeated UFC record of 2-0 by submitting UFC veteran Shamil Abdurakhimov. Addition continuing his undefeated record can steal Shamil’s Top 15 Heavyweight ranking.

Jailton Almeida isn’t the protypical Heavyweight whose fat, slow and dead after one round he’s the rare hybrid heavyweight built like Kamaru Usman. Nasty Submission specialist mixed with KO power and freak of nature abilities.

MMA Fighting’s 2022 Rookie of the Year is enough said for the massive potential, Highly respected writer like Damon Martin believes Almeida can be force in two divisions.

With a blinding combination of speed, technique, grappling, and knockout power, the Brazilian mauler will likely start seeing a number next to his UFC name in the very near future — and he might even do that in two different divisions.” Damon Martin

Definitely watching Jailton Almeida rise this year, Defeating Rozenstruik, Tybura, Romanov, Spivac in upcoming fights. Brazil has many great Heavyweights like Fabricio Werdum, Junior Dos Santos, Big Foot Silva. Jailton Almeida can follow his predecessors. Comparing himself to Glover Teixeira

Cody Stamann vs Luan Lacerda

Luan Lacerda former Shooto Brasil Bantamweight Champion, One of the best Brazil Bantamweights making his UFC debut against UFC vet Cody Stamann. No easy fight in his UFC debut has his work out for him against Grand Valley State Wrestler.

Stamann look to smother Lacerda with wrestling, Explosive power on the floor with ground & pound. Controlling Lacerda much as possible because the Brazilian Bantamweight has very good Brazilian Jiu Jitsu game. Finishing nine opponents with submissions.

Beside being great grappler can strike above average for regional prospect. Doesn’t have crazy power more about volume and accurate strikes. Light kicks to the body. Keeping opponents distracted before breaking opponents on the ground.

Tough matchup for Cody Stamann on tough times right now before beating Eddie Wineland was on three fight losing streak. Fighting in Brazil as they’ll be rooting against him, Different type of environment.

Luan Lacerda can pull off the upset, Great win in his UFC debut. Next great fighter to come out Brazil and Nova Uniao.

Daniel Marcos vs Saimon Oliveira First Fight

First fight of UFC 283 is a banger on paper two high level Bantamweight prospects from South America going at it. Hope this fight lives up to my excitement starting UFC 283 off right.

Daniel Marcos #1 prospect from Peru, 300 Sparta Bantamweight Champion, Signed with UFC because of winning contract on Dana White Contender Series with impressive showcase. Honestly been watching Daniel Marcos for three years now excited to see him finally fight for the UFC.

Peru fighter fought with high motor on Dana White Contender Series after three year layoff. Constant pressure with strikes, Moving forward, Absorbing shots and counter striking quickly. Fought HARD to the last second against Brandon Lewis showing his great condition after three year layoff. Now Daniel Marcos with full camp, no more long layoffs will look more better against Saimon Oliveira.

  • 300 Sparta Bantamweight Champion
  • 13-0 record
  • Fought on Dana White Contender Series
  • Trains with Charles Rosa

Saimon Oliveira is a signee off Dana White Contender Series. Signed because of his relentless pressure on the feet. Fighting at high pace, Strong takedown in early round. Alday would punch hard do damage but Oliveira wasn’t afraid to throw back with multiple punch combinations. Showed a promising future in his Contender Series debut.

Unlike Marcos made his UFC debut against Tony Gravely. Losing to Gravely because of the takedowns showing Oliveira’s weakness is the wrestling defense. However he hold his own in the grappling department. The loss was learning experience, Curious to see what Saimon learned at Astra Fight Team. What did he improve?

Daniel Marcos vs Saimon Oliveira is the perfect fight to start off the night. Both fighters hungry to make there name on a UFC PPV card. Fighting in front of there friends and family. Both guys fight hard to the last seconds. I can see it being a war, Maybe Dana White writes a check for them if he’s in good mood.
