UFC 308 is a stacked card from the “Must See” Main Event of the next generation of Featherweights Ilia Topuria vs the baddest man in the world Max Holloway. First fight of the prelim to the last fight is a great card filled with talented fighters from title contenders and upcoming fighters to watch…
Farid Basharat
Farid Basharat one of my UFC 308 Fighters to Watch is because he’s one of the best Bantamweight prospects and UFC Prospects in general. One of my favorite MMA fighters to watch because of his beautifully technical sound fighting Style- not the most explosive fighter, finish opponents in first minute.
“When I fight, I always think about winning first, and then I’m thinking about the finish,” Basharat said. “I think I’ve got pretty exciting style in general.

Since shining on the Dana White Contender Series back in 2022 fell in love with his talents and style ever since. Mixing up the different arsenal of taekwondo & kickboxing kicks, calculated punches & timed wrestling takedowns. All the combinations for a great fighter.
Most impressive win was his last fight against Taylor Lapilus really tough respectable opponent with record of 19-3 at the time went on tear before second signing with UFC defeating Wilson Reis, Josh Hill, Marcos Breno & Nate Maness. Basharat showed his best skills and shown he can be the hammer & nail when it takedowns weren’t effective or was getting hit didn’t get frustrated… Kept attacking till the last minute.
Credit to Jake Shields former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion and Elite XC Welterweight Champion now one of the Xtreme Couture Head Coaches taking Farid Basharat into his wing, Adding the quality MMA wrestling, offensive grappling with the high level striking skills & got yourself Bantamweight Champion.
Great coaches and world class stable of Bantamweight/Featherweights to train with at Xtreme Couture that you’ll always be humbled but improving. Training with Patchy Mix, Manel Kape, Brendan Loughnane, Aljamain Sterling, Merab Dvalishvilli, Amir Albazi definitely helps him improve his skills and test himself against some of the BEST fighters.
“I really do train with the best guys on the planet,” Basharat said. “When I start to see how I perform against these guys in the training room, when I’m depleted, when I’m tired and stressed, fight night, when I’m full of food and full of rest, it almost is a lot easier than fight camp. Fight camps are where I really realize how much I’m improving.” said Farid Basharat
Basharat UFC 308 Fight
Farid Basharat upcoming prelim bout is against Brazilian prospect DWCS graduate Victor Hugo 25-4 fighter with lots of experience defeated Pedro Falcao in his UFC debut. Hugo’s 29 fights compared to Basharat’s 12 pro fights may be shown as possible upset factor.
However I believe Basharat will take advantage of the UFC 308 opportunity, fighting in front of Muslim fans and have a great performance win against veteran experienced prospect.
“I believe there’s going to be a disparity in level and quality,” he said. “If I’m honest, I think I have the advantage everywhere. With that being said, he does pose some threats and I’m aware of them. We have a game plan (for) them. We’re ready for it.” said Basharat

Farid is quietly underrated but hopefully he’ll gain new fans and respect with another impressive win. Continuing his undefeated record may be closer to becoming a top 15 ranked Bantamweight.
