What are the fighters to watch?

Tofiq Musayev

Tofiq Musayev won the Rizin Lightweight Grand Prix by displaying a impressive performance in the Rizin Lightweight Grand Prix final against Patricky Friere. Brother of Patricio Pitbull. Win over Patricky showed Musayev is one of the best Lightweights in the world doesn’t matter he fights for Rizin.

Musayev 18-3 record at 31 years old, Riding high on a 14 fight winning streak. Defeating talented fighters in his Rizin career from Johnny Case, Daron Cruickshank and Damien Brown.

Huge fan of Musayev he’s a world class, Top Lightweight and now fighting for the first ever Rizin Lightweight title against Roberto De Souza 11-1 Brazilian Lightweight BJJ Black Belt competing in the biggest tournaments all over the world.

Naoki Inoue Rizin Rising Star

Ranked #1 Bantamweight on tapology.com out of Japan. Inoue 15-1 record only 23 years old. Formerly fought for UFC but maybe a bit too early as not every fighter at a young age can handle fighting for the biggest MMA promotion in the world. Dealing with the mental pressure fighting for the UFC.

Currently training at Longo & Weidman MMA with Ulka Sasaki & Dennis Buzukja.

Seeing success right now, Three fight winning streak with Rizin. Competing in the 2021 Rizin Bantamweight Grand Prix Tournament. Looking to build his name in winning the Grand Prix which is a huge deal to hardcore fans going through a 16 man tournament and being the last man standing.

Everyone loved the Pride tournaments in the 2000’s and glad to see Rizin continue that tradition.

Naoki Inoue first round opponent is Shinataro Ishiwatari 26-8-4 record. Looking forward to Inoue fight as Rizin continues to build Inoue as a rising RIZIN star.

“The motivation is totally different, how I approach this fight mentally is totally different. I want tough competition and if that gets people excited then it kills two birds with one stone.”

Vugar Karamov

Vugar Karamov jumped on my radar while watching Rizin fights on YouTube. Watched Vugar dominate Kyle Aguon in every aspect of the fight. Beautiful sambo fighting style. Hear the pop in his hands. The technical powerful takedowns.

Currently top ten Eastern Europe Featherweight at 29 years old is challenging Yutaka Saito for the Rizin Featherweight Title.

Vugar winning the Rizin Featherweight Title against a Rizin Champion, Former Shooto Lightweight Champion WILL BE A BIG DEAL for Vugar to build his name.
