Rematch against Sean Strickland makes sense. Revenging his loss as Brendan Allen had a bad night at the house getting knocked out by Strickland.

I wasn’t in a good spot to take the punch – something that I never do. I never dip that hard, and I don’t know why I did it. I made the wrong read and got caught.”

Suggesting a different outcome against Strickland. No disrespect to Sean Strickland but there’s levels to this game.
“That I should have f*ck Sean Strickland up,” Brendan Allen told James Lynch for MMASucka.com. “There were just things that I didn’t do. I made the wrong read in the second and I got caught. I always say before every fight, every interview, no matter what, I feel like that’s the only way these guys can beat me, is to catch me. So, he caught me. Nine out of 10 times that fight doesn’t go that way, but that’s the one time that it mattered and he caught me.”

Defeating Sean Strickland next will continue his rise in the UFC Middleweight Division. Hopefully UFC matchmakers Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard schedule a rematch, July 2021.
