Bellator Latest Signings Medonca & Mamedov

Bellator continues to add depth to there roster signing world class fighters consistently last few years. Newest signings are two killers from different countries that can become top five fighters in their division in the future. Bellator signed Maycon Mendoca and Islam Mamedov.

Maycon Mendoca

Maycon Mendoca Current LFA Welterweight Champion after defeating Batsumberel Dagvadorj in a Welterweight Clash that earned him the LFA Welterweight Title. He’s a very good all around fighter at 28 years old, 11-4 record. Five fight winning streak after a three fight losing streak.

Wanted Bellator to sign Mendoca because he’d a be a GREAT addition to the Bellator Welterweight Division. Future matchups against Jason Jackson, Jaleel Willis, Logan Storley.

Maycon Mendonca trains at KINGS MMA with Marvin Vettori, Kelvin Gastelum, Rafael Dos Anjos, Neiman Gracie.

Looking forward to Maycon Mendonca Bellator debut and who he matches up against.

Islam Mamedov

Islam Mamedov Russian Lightweight savage, Dagestan born and raised fought for Professional Fighters League with Eight PFL/WSOF wins. Defeating current PFL Lightweight Champion Natan Schulte, Former UFC fighter Thiago Tavares, Ylies Djiroun top French MMA prospect.

19-1 record, 31 years old entering Bellator in the prime of his career.

Mamedov is a combat sambo world champion, Ground & pound expert and looking to take his talents to Bellator. Competing with the best Lightweights from Patricky Pitbull, Goiti Yamaguchi. Training with Dagestan friends from Khabib, Islam, Umar, Usman and so many other great fighters.

Khabib replacing his father Abdulmunap as HEAD COACH, Trainer of Eagles MMA. Helping many Dagestan fighters achieve there MMA dreams. Looking to make Islam Mamedov a Bellator Lightweight title challenger.

Genuinely curious to see how Islam Mamedov matches up against Bellator Lightweight competition in July.
