Miguel Baeza Ends 2021 as a Top 15 Welterweight

Miguel Baeza Alumni of the Dana White Contender Series, Finished 2020 as one of UFC Welterweight Prospects to keep an eye on. Knocking out UFC Vet Matt Brown, Spoiling his return to the octagon than defeating Takashi Sato.

“Now I’m ‘The Guy Who Beat Matt Brown,’” he said with a laugh, acknowledging that he’s getting recognized more, just not by name quite yet. “It’s not Miguel Baeza just yet; it’s ‘Hey — you beat Matt Brown, right?’

“I thought the ‘Caramel Thunder’ thing would stick too; that’s kind of one of the reasons I went for it, you know?” he added, still chuckling at his new standing as a “unknown known guy” within the MMA community. “I definitely have a little more notoriety, people see me more now — again, not as Miguel Baeza, but when you beat somebody, they recognize you a little more, so that’s a step in the right direction.”

Caramel Thunder will stick in 2021 with more siginifcant wins such as Tim Means, Cowboy Oliveira, Jake Matthews to start off 2021.

Tim Means vs Miguel Baeza would be a FUN Fight to watch. Means impressed me a lot with his fight against Mike Perry. His jabs were doing work. Baeza facing a UFC Veteran like Tim Means will only help in the long run. Means doesn’t have the biggest name in the world but a learning experience fight, Test to see where he’s truly at.

Big win against a fighter like Tim Means will earn Dana White’s respect even more as Dana White envisions Baeza as the Puerto Rican Star. Success, Big finishes will lead to Dana White loving Baeza even more and Baeza better take advantage of that oppurtunity.

“10-0, Puerto Rican. When New York opens up again, you know what I mean? Get him fighting in New York. I’ve been talking about Puerto Rico, too. We talked about going to Puerto Rico a long time ago, I talked about building a Performance Institute in Puerto Rico, so he could be the guy. … He could be our Puerto Rican star.” Dana White

After a fight against Means or a UFC Veteran, Fights those top 15-25 Welterweights like Belal Muhammad, Niko Price, Robbie Lawler. With no hesitation if Sean Shelby or Mick Maynard offers the Lawler fight to Baeza he better accept the offer. PERFECT fight to build your name against one of the best Welterweights of all time. Everyone knows who Robbie Lawler is.

Disappointed that not many people know who he is… Well facing Lawler would be the right fight to build your name. Passing of the torch moment as Baeza is one of the next UFC Welterweight Champions. Breakout fight for him.

However Baeza should do what’s in his best interest but if Lawler is on the table please take it. Defeating Lawler would rank as Baeza as #15 Welterweight.

Possibly facing Belal Muhammad, Michael Chiesa, Santiago Ponzinibbio, Neil Magny by the end of 2021. Facing these WORLD CLASS fighters, All around fighters. Fights against 7-14 Welterweights, All great fights for Baeza. Pick your poison but Baeza can compete against the best of them.

Baeza is training partners with Colby Covington, Love him or hate him hes’s one of the best fighters in the world. Former Interim Welterweight Champion, Dominated Tyron Woodley, Rafael Dos Anjos and the stand up striking war with Kamaru Usman.

Baeza can train with Colby Covington than he can fight the top 15 Welterweights.

“The short-term goal is to get that ‘W,’ but the long-term goal is to be champion,” he said. “So whoever is in front of me is in front of me. It doesn’t matter if it’s top-15, top-10. Whoever it is, I’m coming after you.”

Baeza can end the year as top 15 UFC Welterweight, BREAKOUT YEAR for Miguel Baeza as a fighter and becoming the Puerto Rican star if Uncle Bobby Dana keeps his promise.
