Roosevelt Roberts Dana White Contender Series alumni is 4-1 looking to make it 5-1 against UFC veteran Jim Miller. Without a doubt will be the toughest fight in his life but with a breakout performance will be a rising Lightweight prospect.
“I remember watching Jim Miller,” he said. “He’s been around for a while. He wasn’t one of the guys that I modeled my fighting after, but I’ve watched him fight. That dude’s tough and it’s going to be an amazing fight. I feel like me standing in that cage looking across from him, he’s gonna bring out the best in me and I’ve got to go out there and make it happen.”

Jim Miller has seen it all since his days of WEC, Fighter IQ and having the experience will give himself the advantage against rising Lightweight Roosevelt Roberts.
However Roosevelt Roberts is fully confident of his abilities to go out there and be rewarded performance of the night.
“He’s human. He bleeds just like I bleed, he’ll go to sleep just like I’ll go to sleep, he’ll get knocked out just like I get knocked out,” Roberts told us. It’s not all about cage time, he suggested. “I don’t care how many times he’s been in there. I’ve been fighting my whole life. I haven’t been fighting MMA my whole life, but I’ve been fighting my whole life. So it don’t matter. He’s just human.”

“I think my striking is better than his. I think I’m faster. Matter of fact, I know I’m faster. I can’t say really that my jiu-jitsu … he’s a black belt, I can’t disrespect the black belt he has. I wouldn’t do that. I definitely think I match up pretty well with Jim Miller.”
