McKee (10-2-1) is a former lightweight champion under the BAMMA banner. A knockout artist, he recently moved up to welterweight and recorded a resounding stoppage over promotional veteran, Hakon Foss. Since signing with Cage Warriors, “Skeletor” has recorded three consecutive wins over Foss, Perry Goodwin and Jefferson George.

Northern Ireland savage was supposed to fight for the Vacant Cage Warriors Welterweight Title on May 16th in front of the Belfast, Northern Ireland fans.
“Yes I believe it does [add more importance to Cage Warriors 115 in Belfast]. The next generation of true Irish stars will be competing on Cage Warriors in Belfast, the UFC decision makers have eyes on that, the boys will need to bring their A-game on May 16th and show the world the type of fighter the island breeds,” said Boylan.
Cage Warriors confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on the back of the release of former champion Ross Houston, and his subsequent vacation of the title. The May marquee will be the first time the promotion has hosted an event at SSE Arena.
Thanks to the coronavirus, Cage Warriors return to Belfast will be postponed but hope they keep their promise with Rhys Mckee.
