Dana White Contender Series Week 6 Fighters to Watch

Carlos Hernandez

Former IMMAF Flyweight Champion is now fighting on the Dana White Contender Series. Former HOOSIER FC Flyweight Champion before fighting for Legacy Fighting Alliance.

Hernandez is a gritty DAWG flyweight like Brandon Moreno and I love Hernandez fighting style. Addition to being a dawg he’s a very talented fighter.

Nasty submission game, Good cardio where he can push the pace and continue to move forward.

  • 6-1 record
  • 27 years old
  • IMMAF Tournament Champion 2014
  • Hoosier FC Flyweight champion
  • Trains with Yair Rodriguez, Alejandro Flores, Ignacio Bahamondes at VFS Academy

Fernie Garcia

Fortis MMA product. Straight dawg like the Diaz brothers. Standup and bang, To be or be killed. Made his name on the Legacy Fighting Alliance promotion.

Throws volume striking, Several punch combinations. Mexican cardio in his blood. Straight up killer, He’ll be a fan favorite in a short amount of time as the casual fans will love to watch him fight.

Garcia quit his Wells Fargo job to completely focus on his MMA career full time. Now will see an ever better Fernie Garcia as he trains with Uriah Hall, Miles Johns, Austin Lingo, Damon Jackson on a daily basis.

Contender Series fight is against Joshua Weems.

Geoff Neal UFC Welterweight Champion

Geoff Neal 5-0 UFC record latest win over Mike Perry was a significant win for Geoff Neal. Neal is 29 years old and in the “PRIME” of his career. Neal ranked #11 in the UFC Welterweight Rankings. UFC Welterweight Championship Potential was seen when beating Mike Perry.

Sayif Saud Fortis MMA Coach will guide and coach Geoff Neal to a UFC Welterweight Champion. Training with fighters such as Urijah Hall, Steven Perterson, Austin Lingo. Fortis MMA becoming a POWERHOUSE and Geoff Neal will be the first UFC Champion for Fortis MMA.

“I want somebody in the top 10,” Neal said. “I don’t know who. That’s one of those things I’m going to sit down and talk to my coaches about. I don’t want to just spread out a name, you know? I got people in mind. I’ve got ideas. But right now, anybody in the top 10. And if somebody wants to call me out in the top 10, feel free to do that.”

Win over Mike Perry, Neal deserves a Top Ten Opponent. Robbie Lawler, Rafael Dos Anjos are two fights that make sense to me. Lawler hasn’t fought since the loss to Colby Covington August 3rd. Former UFC Welterweight Champion passes the torch to Geoff Neal future UFC Welterweight Champion. Rafael Dos Anjos lost to Michael Chiesa at the Blaydes vs Dos Santos card.

Geoff Neal fighting either Lawler or Dos Anjos would be a TEST fight for Neal but can win because of his talents, Coaching and training at Fortis MMA, POWERHOUSE GYM. Defeats Dos Anjos or Lawler is where in two fights has the opportunity for a title shot.

Neal will be ranked in the top 8, Maybe Top 5 depending on how the UFC rankings are selected but Neal is close to fighting for a UFC Welterweight Title Shot in 2020.

Clear Path for Geoff Neal to the UFC Welterweight Title and with talents, coaching and training 24/7 he’ll become UFC Welterweight Champion.
