Alexander Hernandez UFC on ESPN 4:Dos Anjos vs Edwards Fighter to Watch

Alexander Hernandez, One of the hottest prospects fighting in the Lightweight Division lost to Donald Cerrone. Hernandez got a taste of his own medicine by disrespecting a legend, Donald Cerrone. Hopefully Hernandez got humbled by the lost and returned to the gym!! Showing the new skills he worked on against a UFC veteran in Francisco Trinaldo.

Alexander Hernandez fights out of San Antonio and his upcoming fight is in San Antonio. Fighting in front of training partners, Family, Friends will give Hernandez some extra motivation.  Hernandez lives and trains in San Antonio, Texas, as a member of the Ohana Academy.

Losing to Donald Cerrone, Humbled him. Taught Hernandez he needs a lot of work to do!! Flaws in his game.

In an Instagram post, Hernandez thanked Cerrone for the experience and said it taught him he needs to “learn to fight” and perhaps even change his approach to the game.

http://n an Instagram post, Hernandez thanked Cerrone for the experience and said it taught him he needs to “learn to fight” and perhaps even change his approach to the game.

“Congratulations @cowboycerrone. You taught me something invaluable in defeat,” Hernandez posted with a picture of himself post-fight, showing the damage Cerrone did to his face. “Perhaps the best/worst thing that ever happened to me was a 42 second knockout debut. I go into every fight feeling untouchable and expecting a repeat of the same occurrence. I prepare myself in the moments prior for an execution in the first round and not a fight. I need to learn to fight. I need to address my approach. I brought the fight to Cerrone and where he made adjustments, I did not. Experience is a costly bitch.

Hernandez, 26 years old still has a lot of promise. A loss can devastate a fighter or a loss can be the best thing for the fighter. Hernandez loss was the best thing for him. Work hard everyday at the Ohana Academy, Learning the mistakes in his fighting.

No slouch at all, Ranked #13 in the Lightweight Division. Beat Beneil Dariush and Olivier Aubin-Mercier. Potential to be a UFC Lightweight Champion because he’s extremely talented.

Win over Francisco Trinaldo would place Alexander Hernandez in the top Ten. Fighter to Watch for Edwards vs Dos Anjos event, 2019 and in the future!!

Bellator 2019 and the Future Should Build the Bottom of Their Roster

Bellator since Scott Coker became the promoter of Bellator has made a lot of progress, Signing Rory MacDonald, Ryan Bader, Gegard Mousasi which increased Bellator popularity. Bellator signed some world main event fighters but lack in signing world prelim fighters. In other words Bellator doesn’t fill up the bottom of their roster and they SHOULD!!!!!!

One of the main differences between Bellator and the UFC is the rosters. UFC cards are always stacked top to bottom and that’s where Bellator goes wrong. Bellator prelim cards have fighters with records of 3-1, 4-1, 7-4 and they’re not good fighters. In order to compete with UFC, Bellator immediately needs to build their bottom roster.!

The talent today has never been better, All over the world you can DISCOVER fighters who can fill up your prelim cards that can become Bellator Champions. No excuses anymore!! Bellator can sign fighters from the Professional Fighters which is basically a feeder league for the UFC, The PFL fighters can headline the prelim cards.

Bellator right now can sign fighters in the prime of their careers but fight in Promotions only hardcore MMA fans know about. Sign Fighters from the POLISH promotion KSW, Middle East Promotion Brave CF, M1 Global (Russian Promotion).

Other option is signing prospects from the Legacy Fighting Alliance, Cage Warriors, Titan FC, King of the Cage, BAMMA, Cage Fury Fighting Championship, Extreme Fighting Championship and many more world class regional promotions. Rather than the UFC signing them!!

Bellator is owned by Viacom, Mass Media Conglomerate. Multi Billion Dollar company. Bellator can offer contracts world class fighters from regional promotions and top ten promotions. Competing with the UFC when it comes to bidding wars!! Offering better pay to prospects and champion fighters will attract them way lot more.

Bellator should do everything in their power to fill up their roster to compete with the UFC. They can accomplish that goal by signing champions from other promotions besides the UFC, Sign top prospects from Cage Warriors and Legacy Fighting Alliance. Money isn’t an issue for Bellator they just need to go out and do it!!!!!

If it doesn’t, I let it go and I keep getting better. When that time comes, I’m going to be better than I’m going to be Saturday night, and next year I’m going to be twice as good as, hopefully, I am this year. I believe you can’t just be stagnate.”

Bektic on a two fight win streak, Latest win against Ricardo Lamas who faced Jose Aldo for the Featherweight Title.

Bektic took home a split-decision win, 29-28, 28-29 and 30-27.

“I know everyone was looking forward to this fight, and I’m fighting a guy in his hometown, so you always have to worry a little when the decision is split,” Bektic said after the win. “However, I thought I had done more and had been more dominant throughout each round to get the job done.

“My one loss was to a veteran, and Ricardo Lamas has been around for a long time, fighting some of the best in the world. I mean, this is a guy who fought (Jose) Aldo, so I wanted to learn from my mistakes in the (Darren) Elkins fight and really bring the fight to him.
